Who can sell

You can sell on InstaSoko if you run a real business in a city we serve, you are 18 or older, and you verify your phone number. One person or business has one shop. We check every application before the shop opens, and we may ask for an ID photo, a business registration or, for a pharmacy, its licence.

Your shop and products

You are responsible for what you list: the names, photos, prices and stock must be true, and the products must be yours to sell and legal where you sell them. Prices include everything the buyer pays you; delivery is added by InstaSoko. New shops' products are checked before buyers see them.

What you cannot sell

Illicit drugs, medicines that need a prescription, weapons and ammunition, explosives, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, wildlife products such as ivory or pangolin, raw gold, coltan and other minerals without a licence, adult content, gambling and money schemes. Alcohol and tobacco may be sold only to adults and are shown as 18+. If a shop sells something prohibited, we close it at once and the plan is not refunded.

Plans and payment

You pay for a plan before your shop is checked: one, three or twelve months, at the price shown for your city and kind of business. You pay by mobile money to the number shown and give us the transaction code. A promo code may lower the price. If we ask you to change something, your payment is kept for 30 days. If your shop is not accepted for a reason other than prohibited goods, we refund you. A plan continues only when you pay again; we remind you 7 days and 1 day before it ends, and your shop stays open 7 more days before it is paused.

Orders and delivery

When a buyer orders, you confirm the order quickly, prepare it and hand it to our rider, or to the buyer for a pickup. Decline an order only when you cannot fill it, and say why. Vehicles and machinery are not ordered: buyers send you an enquiry and you deal with them directly.

Payouts and commission

Buyers pay InstaSoko. For each delivered order we keep a commission on the goods (the rate for your kind of business is shown before you pay) and add the rest to your balance. We send your balance to your mobile money regularly, and you can see every order and payout in your dashboard. If a buyer pays you cash at the counter, the commission is taken from your next earnings.

Buyers' details

You see a buyer's name, phone number and delivery place so you can fill their order. Use them only for that order. Never message buyers about anything else, and never share their details.

Pausing and closing

We may pause or close a shop that breaks these terms, misleads buyers, does not fill its orders or receives repeated complaints. You can pause your shop for a while, or ask us to close it; we pay out what we owe you first.

Changes

We may change these terms or the prices of plans. We tell you in the app before a change applies to you, and a plan you have already paid for keeps its price until it ends.
